Relink a Saiga product
There are two types of relinks that can be done at a customer site. The first type will be done after a major upgrade to OpenVMS IF the product stops working (since major upgrades often involved the reorganization of the system service and run-time libraries they often "break" our products).
Throughout this article assume that product should be replaced with Hitman, VDM, RA, Swap, Ferret, Watch or Trace to indicate the product being relinked.

Standard Relink
$ set default product_com:
$ @define_logicals
$ @customer_link
$ @sys$manager:product_startup

The product should start normally.

Traceback Relink
In the event that a customer discovers a problem with a product they may be requested to relink that product with traceback enabled since this should give more detailed information about the module(s) that the error is being singalled from.

$ set default product_com:
$ @define_logicals
$ @customer_link TRACE
$ @sys$manager:product_startup

Since traceback information makes executables larger the standard shipping version do not contain full traceback information. In the event that the traceback does not provide sufficient information you may be requested to dowload a full traceback version of the product and then install it. THIS WILL NOT CHANGE YOUR EXISTING PARAMETERS. After installing the product you will still need to relink it using the procedure above since the installation process always links without the traceback option enabled.
